Project Overview

• A redundant NHS secure facility was transformed into a children’s service comprising 10 residential beds and 9 step-down beds, including family assessment areas.
• The Listed Building offered challenges in obtaining planning. A contemporary design contrasted with the existing architecture without compromising the essential layout and plan form required for providing care.
• The care pathway created meets the demands of Commissioners and reinforces the continuity of care.
