Following Montpelier’s successful development of Douglas House, the adjacent hospice for 18-40 year olds, Montpelier were invited to re-model and extend the original hospice for babies, children and young people to reflect the ongoing challenges encountered in caring for children with life limiting illness.
Montpelier created open-plan areas to accommodate larger patient wheelchairs and improved the communal family facilities adjacent to patient bedrooms and provided bedrooms that respond to high dependency requirements alongside spa, multi-sensory, music, bathrooms, kitchen and dining rooms.
